Look at
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps5855/product_data_sheet0900aecd8028d2db.html
for info on an MFT series card.

According to the specs there, it has a 25 dB level range (+1 dB0 down
to -24 dB0).

Your suspicions sound very plausible! I think I'd be calling emergency repair!

AT&T traced it to an 'MFT card' in the Central Office

They have replaced it but now our levels are down about 20 db

I suppose the CO guy just took the new one out of the box and plugged it in
without checking switch / jumper settings etc

Anyone have any info on this beast ?

I'm almost positive it is an amplifier / transformer combo

Thanks

Gary
