Several LPFM groups that I have encountered have little or no idea of
what effort is necessary to support a radio station, LPFM or Class C FM
or whatever.
When San Francisco Community Radio started their LPFM process I told
them (and I was on the board at the time) that I can assemble a radio
station in a couple of days but keeping the station on the air 24x7 is a
lot of work and you guys need to get your act together.
I was told that I was being too negative.
Guess what?
When KXSF-LP was granted I put together a control room and transmitter
and then watched them flail about until they got it together.
Not all LPFM groups have an experienced (but negative !) advisor.
