Long, long ago, back when I was CE at WLW there was a proposed Ohio State EAS Plan that called for WLW to relay EAS messages for ALL 54 counties in Ohio. That was a non-starter and required adjustment. Imagine a hot summer night trying to listen to a Reds baseball game as a line of storms rolls across Ohio with the Reds flagship station interrupting for every NWS EAS between the Ohio River and Lake Erie. That would not be pretty. The Plan was re-written.
