I applaud the intention of the recent blog post by the PSHSB.

PSAP managers are usually very aware of FCC activites concerning 9-1-1 
and radio dispatch licenses. But I'm not certain how much police chiefs, 
fire chiefs and director's of emergency management pay attention to other 
things the FCC does.

The local emergency and disaster folks seem to pay attention to FEMA and 
the state EMAs more than the state public utility commissions and the FCC.
