Exactly - same thing in VT when Irene came through - people told us
Radio was their only lifeline (other than hiking up to ridge tops to
'try' and get some cell service).  Until cell carriers are mandated to
provide adequate and reliable backup power systems, participation in
WEA is a crap shoot at best for 'real' disasters....
