[EAS] new legislative activity on EAS/WEA

I said that years ago, and reiterated it again a couple weeks ago.
There is so much junk and disorganization now in the whole emergency
alerting system (beyond the named EAS) that it's even more unlikely we
(our stations) will air anything beyond EAN/EAT/NPT for the foreseeable
future. And I would be surprised to see any TV's do the same given their
even more onerous requirements.
Emergency alerting isn't going in the right direction. Problem is does
anyone have a clue as to the right direction which doesn't involve
unfunded mandates?
