Yeah, buying a $50 NAT router and changing the default passwords is such 
a burdensome thing to do!

Not saying that is where one should stop with their cyber security 
efforts, but as I recall either of those two measures by themselves 
would have stopped pretty much all of the publicized hacks of 
broadcasters.  The low hanging fruit is dragging on the ground...
