Here in Nevada you have to have a permit from the state and pay a fee to use
an yellow/amber light on your vehicle. The permit has to be renewed
regularly, with the required fee. Some stations have the permits and use the
lights when hauling their snow cats.

I had purchased a yellow magnetic "twirly" light for the KFOG station
vehicle.  At least in CA a commercial vehicle can display this light while
stopped.  My boss at the time assured me that if there was any problems
