        Yes, this is true - and the longer it takes
        broadcasters to make it known that EAS
        has uses - and uses them intelligently - we
        will continue to be tarred when this
        idiotic "reverse 911" is the preferred use
        by EMs.   I thought it has been made
        clear (Colorado?) that fires kill phone
        lines and cell tower links.

        But then, hey, people are welcome to 
        tune in to their local station and hear
        the automated hits one after another,
        until the fire gets to the transmitter site.
