[EAS] Dallas warning sirens hacked - maybe

Many years ago the engineering firm I work with was retained to
evaluate a siren warning system.
I gave them a step-by-step process how someone with only public
knowledge could activate the sirens.
The report was not favorably received and the agency went forward
with the implementation anyway.
Sigh.
For a long time San Francisco's siren system could be activated with
no more than a two-tone paging sequence. Until someone realized this
and activated them.
The U.S. Navy taught me that any form of communications can be
compromised. How hard it will take and how long it will take is the
only difference between systems.
