[EAS] FCC Seeks Comment on Multilingual EAS

A bit off topic, but thought some may get a chuckle...

Those old enough to remember when Government 'fixed' AT&T; and the PSA like ads that AT&T was running at the time, went something like this...

<Knock on the door>
<Lady opens door;  MIB at door>
MIB - "Mam. We are from the Government, and we are here to fix your phone."
LADY - "My phone is not broken."
MIB - "But mam, we're from the Government."
LADY - "But my phone is not broken."
MIB - "Mam! We're from the Government."

Substitute 'EAS' for 'phone' and reread...sometimes you just have to laugh.
Or maybe The Penguins of Madagascar said it best - "Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave."
