Personally, as a *user* of such a system, I don't know that I would want an Amber alert to awake me from a deep slumber where I would want a Tornado Warning to do so. If I were awake and in a potential position to help, I would want to hear the Amber. I'm not entirely sure what triggers consumer "alerting" radios but if it is the 1050, perhaps this may be related?
