[EAS] Strange NWS Event Code

I did ask the Las Vegas WFO and finally got a call from the MIC..."AFD" is
the Area Forecast Discussion and it was added to the NOAA radio program this
morning but somehow strayed into their EAS equipment. It was not meant to be
an EAS activation. They are investigating...

Doesn't sound like a watch or a warning.
Those usually end in A or W.

By what method did they receive the alert?
I would think if it were by EAS that someone at one of the stations would
know what it was because they had to program it into the EAS decoder.

Did anyone ask the local NWS office?
