This sad news was posted today by Bill Trinkle on the Larry Estlack page tribute page:

As some of you may already know. It is with great sadness to report that our friend Larry has passed away Monday morning about 12:30am. His passing was peaceful and he was sleeping. He took with him all of the good messages, admiration and prayers sent his way over the past few days, and no one could ask for more than that. Services will be in early January in Lansing at Estes Leadley. I will keep this group open and make sure to provide details as they are available. Thank you all.

There is a long list of wonderful tributes to what kind of person Larry was and why he will be remembered. If you would like to add something to the page or read what others had to say:

Larry will be missed by the EAS Community, especially by us in the Broadcast Warning Working Group who called on him to help us earlier this year before his illness worsened.

Larry''s many contributions to the industry, EAS and -- most especially -- to the lives of his relative, close friends and colleagues will be remembered. I personally hope we can dedicate something having to do with EAS to not only LArry's memory, but to the memory of Ann Arnold who also left us all too soon.
