[snip]

Just another question to have the Commission answer. From the varying
interpretations of our logging responsibilities, it rapidly looks like
that we are all going to be slaves to this stupid box.

[end]

Only if you allow that to happen. When one of our over-the-air
monitoring assignments has a technical problem, I am generally unaware
till the missed RWT is noticed. I suppose one could treat I/P
connectivity glitches to a Federal source which issues one test per week
in the same way (that is, ignore the loss of connectivity till the RWT
goes missing). I don't remember anything in Part 11 which says that our
ENDEC must have a 100% success rate in polling a Federal server.

On our Sage ENDEC, the flashing "automatic" LED on the front indicates a
stored error, possibly a loss of I/P connectivity. The email containing
the error message might or might not make it to my smartphone, depending
on where the internet failure took place. Other people in the building
will let me know instantly if the I/P to the outside world drops, long
before the red LED starts to flash. That's a problem I can do something
about. If a CAP server drops offline, that is an event outside of my
control.
