[EAS] CARRIER OUTAGE!??

Has anyone else noticed an internet carrier outage?

We run DASDECs. For the most part, once properly configured and with proper
updates - they just work.

Recently, however, I have noticed that no less than 7 of our DASDECS seem to
have lost email communication as well as other functionality.

Of these 7, 5 are on completely separate networks (sbcglobal, bell south,
verizon, comcast business, nauticom). I don't know if these may be
semi-related or not.

All of them are exhibiting the same symptoms - all ports but 80 and 443 are
blocked.

I don't know about other boxes, but the DASDEC looks for the following ports to
be open:

22,80,443,587,631 and 8000.

If any of these ports are blocked, certain functionality is lost. (Minor things
like FCC required Logs can no longer be sent via email).

So again, my question is - has anyone else noticed a blockage of ports on your
box? If so, what is your carrier (ISP)?
