Ed:

Reading the report and order the answer is "yes and No"--yes
you can have a converter temporarily, but no, eventually you
will need a decoder that can handle (I've forgotten the
phrase)--the "correct" kind of video display for a TV crawl.

Yes, I know, why does one need this for a radio station?
This is the same agency that insisted for years that I had a
license for a TV remote pick-up (2 GHZ) station. Finally I
just cancelled the license.

As a practical matter, I picked up my Sage units for little
more than the cost of the converters. The state
broadcaster's assn. cut a deal with SCMS. While I still
can't get it to talk to the internet, I like the way it
stores logs. Will be wandering over to one station today to
print-out February's logs for the file.
