[EAS] Single point entry of CAP messages

Well, I don't have any ideas on how to do it--that would be up to our
in-house IT guy working with corporate IT. The question in my mind would
be, "In an emergency that would warrant a CAP activation, what assurance
do we have that the corporate WAN would be available to deliver it?" The
problem with our local cable broadband connection--where most of the
station's websurfing is done--is that when folks in the newsroom all
want to stream the same thing at once, our connection becomes
overloaded. Can we rely on that for CAP?

Our DASDEC is actually already connected to the corporate WAN for the
purpose of emailing alerts and logs to me and others in the building.
But I don't know if that connection is also used for CAP ingest.

The third choice, a dedicated connection by another means, has its own
issues with costs and technical complications. I just don't think we
have any of those answers yet for our situation.
