This is excellent.  

Unfortunately, the other side of the coin is that it looks like DHS grant
funding levels for states and locals is getting hit very hard (overall,
slashed by $1 billion).  Hopefully the Collins bill will be passed, so the
on-line training curricula can continue to be funded.

FEMA's Emergency Management Institute released a new online course that
provides training for emergency managers and others on the Integrated Public
Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) on December 14. 

Couple with upcoming congressional action the Broadcast Warning Working
Group (BWWG) hopes gets bi-partisan support, this training will be very
helpful in getting more local and state emergency managers to partner with
LECC's and SECC's to improve EAS.
