But think about it. This is not as drastic as at first blink. Think back 40 years and a lot of that equipment is still fully serviceable. Think back 50 years and that gear can still be pressed into service.  Now, put yourself in 1963 with a then modern station with things like cart machines and DJ oriented console designs along with much higher performance transmitters. Not to mention self operation and remote control.  Now look back 40 years from 1963 and compare what radio was like in 1923.  Look back 50 years and AM transmitters using the Audion tube and not mechanical alternators were just being developed. Put one of those beside your shiney new 20V3.
