Upon further consideration, I agree.  FM translators are only a means to 
drive listeners off the band over to FM, not back to AM.

AM Needs to be made listenable. That means doing the same thing firearms 
advocates have been saying.  Enforce the existing rules. But now that 
the trauin has left the station, it will be double hard to get back to 
where we were.
