[BC] Tower rent question

Power of the station? Who supplies AC power?

The ATC figures may be valid if the station pulls their own AC and is not a
high power station, those are about what ATC charges for a single
translator.

If I get your message right, someone else has offered to build a tower for
them, for 650.00 a month rent, and it INCLUDES a brand new antenna and
hardline?

I guess I would need to know more about the antenna and hardline. If it is
like a regular LMR antenna with 7/8 inch hardline, and depending on the size
of the antenna, those figures may work.

Am trying to wrap my head around these figures.

I'm looking at a Class A NCE FM in Indiana. The radio station had their
transmitter and six bay antenna on an American Tower tower for $225/mo.

That lease expired and American Tower offered them $775/mo. I don't know if
that's on the same tower or a different one.

The NCE FM settled on $650/mo. from a brand new tower (brand new antenna,
coax, etc.)

Is this a good deal? Bad deal? Of note: The station ran in the red last
year (-$20,000). Not sure how they covered that loss, and I note the
percentage increase in tower rent is rather lofty.

Private replies are okay.

Best,
- Blaine
