Have also noticed that  I believe it is a deliberate attempt to imbue and
marinate the viewers into believing they are really 'there' and experiencing
(suffering) all the downsides of being on the field rather than sitting at
home enjoying the benefits of the TV production from the comforts of home.
Too much realism for me.  I think baseball and football are much more
enjoyably consumed in front of a TV rather than in the stands, where there
are half-drunk idiots in front of you standing to cheer or boo, etc.   The
fans are the worst part of attending sports events.

the analog channel vs the HD Channel.  Dave
