They don't. It's a scam, probably coming from an Indian call center. 
They just want your money.

Never click on an unexpected popup - it just leads to trouble. This 
had nothing to do with the calls that you got.

Don't click on anything that you didn't purposely go to. If your 
browser has a popup blocker, enable it II have it eneabled in 
Firefox). I also use a second popup blocker, part of System Mechanic. 
I also use a Firefox extension called NoScript, which prevents a site 
from running JavaScript without my permission.
