I have used the Garmin GPSMap 60c for several years, and it will do everything you want and more. I have used it for proofs (NAD 83 and 27 standard), as it will project radials where you can stay on radial within 20' for as long as you need to go. It has a USB interface so I can use it with my laptop, and is waterproof for harsh outdoor use. My model has been discontinued, but the current model is the GPSMap 60, and retails for $249.00 (less with online shopping). Great value, lots of power for the price.

I'd like to be able to select NAD 27, and get degrees-minutes-seconds. Just picked up a Magellan explorist GC which is lacking, and will probably go back to Frys tomorrow. Any suggestions are welcome.
