[BC] FEMA/ EAS CAP Update Broadcast

I've seen lots of reasons to spend (burn) dollars on stop-gap solutions.
Some (most?) of them are not sound, but are attractive to the bottom-line
driven decision-maker.
Like:
1. If it's a regulatory issue maybe the deadline will be extended (again?)
or the rules will change before the deadline.
2. Maybe the price will be lower (in "real" dollars) later, or the
manufacturer(s) will release cheaper models.
3. The economy is in the toilet right now. Maybe things will be better in a
couple of years and we'll have more money.
4. I'm not planning to be around in 3 years, why take the pain if I can
defer it to somebody else later. I'd rather make my figures look better (or
less worse) today.

Not being from your part of the world, and not knowing the price
differential between the new units and the converters I cannot even begin to
comment on the specifics of the current debate, but I have seen times where
"throwing good money after bad" is an option that needs to be considered.

Sometimes the most "obviously stupid" decisions have, at their core, a
kernel of logic which -when understood- make them seem less stupid.

So why buy something you know will be a Boat Anchor in 3 Years? It is better
money spent to just bite the Bullet and get a new EAS box and be done with
it.
