No problem with all-vertical on translators. I have two of them,
W265BX and W288BZ-- the latter uses a Scala FMV folded dipole which is
shared by another translator.

The rule is 74.1235(g): Either horizontal, vertical, circular or
elliptical polarization may be used provided that the supplemental
vertically polarized ERP required for circular or elliptical
polarization does not exceed the ERP otherwise authorized. Either
clockwise or counterclockwise rotation may be used. Separate
transmitting antennas are permitted if both horizontal and vertical
polarization is to be provided.

As I said, there are lots of exceptions to the rule, but I was
asking if anyone knew of any translators which were able to run all or
mostly vertical, without jumping through a lot of hoops, as LPFM's are
allowed to do.  I don't have the time at the moment to dig through the
rules, just wondering if someone had an answer off the top of their
head.
