[BC] AM by the sea and 20 feet of snow

years ago in Alaska we had a station in Valdez that was on the coast with really large tidal variations and 20 feet of snow in the winter.  
The original ATU design by Hammet and Edson used a servo system to tune the ATU.  That was gone by the time I got there in the mid eighties.

But last year that same station got some vswr foldbacks on the Harris DX-10.  So we went out there and realized that he manager had forgotten to keep the trees trimmed.  Twenty foot alders next to the tower did not help things a bit.
