How much selectivity/rejection/et al. do you need?  
Can you buy dirt cheap FM receivers at a 'dollar store' and adjust their tuning range?  You might be able to get channel 6 without any additional work at all, depending on where the signal actually is and how wide the tolerances are on the receivers.  If the transmitters have just a few fixed frequencies, you could even make a handful of fixed-tuned receivers for each (either by swapping the tunable parts for fixed parts or using a touch of glue).  

(Channel 5 is 76 - 82 MHz, aural carrier 81.75;  Channel 6 is 82 - 88 MHz, aural carrier 87.75)
