>OK, I have been using Avanquest SystemSuite for some years now (and System Mechanic before that), and my license for SystemSuite 11 ran out. It's not possible to just renew SS11; you have to get 12, which is now simply called System Suite. The GUI is totally changed; I liked the old one better. When I loaded the new version into my under-desktop running XP-SP3, it said it was installed correctly but the Windows Installer went into a loop and wouldn't stop, and the program wouldn't work. So I un-installed it and went back to SS11. Avanquest user support offered a couple of suggestions, neither of which worked.
>So, I loaded the new version onto my wife's laptop which runs on Windows 7; everything looked good and it was doing what it was supposed to. But then my wife complained that she couldn't log on to the internet. The only way I could fix that was to un-install SS12. Then when I was trying to re-install SS11, there was the message that I had reached the maximum number of installs and was out of luck.
>Now what I am asking is: is there something else that combines an anti-virus, registry cleaner, and all those other utilities into one package? Otherwise it looks like I will have to purchase these separately, at double the cost. While I have enjoyed SystemSuite in the past, the new version simply doesn't work for me at all. Now I'm trying to get a refund.
