I would recommend that you switch to two separate but Free programs to
accomplish AV and registry cleaning.

My choices would be:

   Anti-Virus:  Microsoft Security Essentials.

   Registry Cleaning:  CC Cleaner.
     Available here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
