Sam,
That's what I was thinking. The BE really doesn't pull that much on 1 KW. I could off things in the building that I don't need. Besided my transmitter, I would need my Inovonics, Model #235 audio processor on, My PC, My little 5 pot, mono BE Board, My CD Players, my satellite receiver and 1 lamp is all I need.
That Honda EU would be more than enough. My dad was going to buy me a generator, but he never got the chance to do it. Now that he is with the Lord, I'm pulling together my money to buy one.
If all the lights go out here in town, like they did when the tornado of 2006 did to us, I need a generator to stay on and allow the local police to use my station for communications like we did before. We were lucky to have lights at the station back during the last tornado that came through.
Being my studio and tranmitter site is on 1 piece of property, and 1 mile from the police station, I feel it's important I have a generator, and I know the city would pay for the fuel to keep it running.
