A Television border blaster was  KCND-TV  Pembina. ND  serving Winnepeg, Manitoba.  It was the ABC outlet for Winnipeg but was licensed to Pembina.  They had an 8 or 9 hop inter-city microwave shared with KTHI in Fargo, ND picking up ABC off air in Minneapolis.
 
I believe the station was bought by a Canadian some years back and the channel reallocated.  The transmitter and tower in the US where most of the programming originated was surrounded by dikes to keep out flood waters due to a levee system built on the Canadian side of the red river.  The station had pumps to drain water from behine the dikes.
 
Anyone familiar with this station?
