[BC] AES/EBU issue

I just sent Craig an offline email a few minutes ago.

In that email I didn't know what model of STL we were talking about.
Now knowing that it's a DSP6000, I believe these are data-reduced
digital links.

I dunno that much about the DSP6000, HOWEVER, suppose that the STL
receiver wasn't configured properly to decode the previously encoded
audio data, and just passed it through: that non-audio stuff gets
forwarded to the AES transmitter and out it goes.

An AES receiver (whether in the Titus 3 DRX or 8400) isn't going to know
what to do with it. So perhaps it's not an AES problem at all, but
rather a problem with the payload within.

We know that Moseley DSP6000 units and 8400s work happily together.

Perhaps someone who knows the ins- and outs of the DSP6000 can say
whether the above hypothesis is possible or not. And if it is possible,
how to configure the DSP6000 properly.
