Does DJB appear to be playing but you get no sound?

The IT department may have left the built-in sound "card" enabled, thus DJB
is still using the original setting.  Other apps may be smarter or offer a
way to choose the sound card to be used.

Another possibility is that the two "cards" can co-exist but they'll both
probably need the Windows mixer application to adjust settings in and out.
The mixer app supports more than one card, you set which card in the
properties of the mixer app.

Try to get it to work with an M-Audio card.  If you know the secret 
please let me know.  I have a community college which uses the DJB and 
the IT department "upgraded" the audio card and now the software will 
not play or record audio.  The on board card works fine.  Everything 
else, Adobe, etc. works fine with the new card.
