No.  When you click start the meters make a jump up as if to start 
playing then nothing.  No sound, no meters bouncing, nothing.  Recording 
audio does not work either.  As I indicated, in the production unit 
Adobe Audition 3 records and plays just fine when using the same 
input/output settings.
