Eddie, though I agree with much of what you wrote, the last statement
is just plain wrong.
I used to listen to a lot of distant FMs. Most were in the Reserved
Band. I kept track of things in distant areas where I had or have
interests.
Now, the IBOC noise keeps me from listening.
OK, FINE, I am NOT in the listening areas of those stations. However,
from my home in Northern Virginia, I could listen to distant Maryland,
West Virginia, and RIchmond, VA area stations. No longer. CPB has
funded most or all National People's Radio stations to go to IBOC.
The grass has kept me from being able to hear most of the dozen or
more stations I used to listen to.
In fact, some third adjacent fairly local stations are no longer
available.
The power increase is going to make it worse.
At least I can listen to KNPR on the web.
Oh well.
