[BC] Very quiet...

Well, we agree on some things, and disagree on others.

I have four phones on AT&T, two iPhones, and two simple phones. The
one thing I can say is that AT&T is just dreadful. The iPhone is
enough of a reason to be on AT&T, but in June or September (depending
on who you believe) I will be dropping over a grand at Verizon to
replace the four phones.

One thing I REALLY like at AT&T is the "roll-over" minutes. That
would be great, but when we got phones for my in-laws, we had to
really bump up the minutes -- a more expensive plan. So, we have
THOUSANDS of roll-over minutes we will never use. I end up listening
to the radio over dial-up! I could dial-up for several months and
never run out of minutes. Real jerks.

On the other hand, I get into rural Ohio, where there are no people
and NO 3G, AT&T has decent coverage and Verizon (my Blackberry) does
not have any coverage at all.

Regarding Las Vegas versus NYC. I sort of like NYC, but it is so
disgustingly expensive. Also, the subway smells so bad (urine) that I
cannot use it. Cabbies are thieves and don't care about the
customer. I learned to not get into a cab until I have dug out the
seat belt, and don't close the door until I have belted in. They will
take off as soon as you close the door. Gypsies are even worse. No
surprise, gypsies are even awful on London, the best taxi city in the
world. Crime is awful, and the city is filthy.

Cabbies have tried to take me in 'Vegas twice, but in both cases I
turned the tables on them and ended up way ahead. In all the time I
have spent there, it isn't a big number of trips compared to the
number of trips I have taken. In NYC (and Dallas) the attempts are at
least 50%.

Las Vegas doesn't have the full variety of restaurants, but they are
generally less expensive. First rate entertainment is more expensive
in Las Vegas -- which is surprising. Theater is really made bland.
They are afraid of offending people.

Parking in Las Vegas makes it possible to drive. Flip you keys to the
valet and there isn't even a charge beyond the tip. Otherwise,
parking is free, except in the small business district.

Other than some shopping, there is nothing better in NYC than in Las
Vegas. If B&H Camera would open a store in Las Vegas, I would be set.

Oh, and I don't gamble, except in the stock market where I own a lot
of radio stock, so I lost.

If I hit the lottery I would have a condo or maybe a house there, or
if I get a great job offer (not likely) I would move to 'Vegas in a
heart beat.
