[BC] BT SS 16.4 Switcher as Silent Sense

I have several BT SS 16.4 switchers in use here at my facility. I know that
the ACT light for a certain channel will darken after a time specified by me
to indicate that audio is not present. What I am not sure of is how to make
the switcher close a certain relay or fire a pin that I can use to re-start
my automation stack. I have a message in to BT support, but this list is
full of it! Experience I mean... I'm sure someone has used this method to
indicate loss of audio and would love to know how you did it. I am aware
that each output can be followed by a relay, but from what I'm reading the
relays are turned on as soon as something is connected to that output.
That's not what I need to do. I don't want the relay closed until loss of
audio.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated...
