I'm not going to jump on the May's bashing cart. Just because CC is the
biggest doesn't mean they're the "evil empire" everyone makes them out to
be.  I think it's more of them redefining HOW broadcasting is done which
has shaken people to their core.  Multiple stations under one PD, etc.
Sharing talent between large and small markets. Etc.

There are a number of things CC has done to help the industry too. Just no
one speaks about it. The May's were/are RADIO people just like the local
combo operator who built their operation from scratch. They just built it
a PILE bigger throguh their STAR radio groups. It's just NOW their
privatization bought/cost too much and the piper is asking for his
due....meaning Bain, et al. want some changes so they can look good to
their bond/debt holders.

If he wants to semi-retire right now, let him.

If it's one thing I learned, NEVER criticize someone who has money or the
ability to raise/manage it. They might hire you...or won't because of
things said. How many times has Trump gone broke only to be worth billions
again in a couple years.
