Of course a T1 is only as good as the telco infastructure. I handled
a site a few years ago that was plagued with T1 issues. Old copper
lines, no spare pairs in the cable that were any good. Verizon wasn't
in any hurry to do anything about it...every time we'd have an outage,
they'd dispatch a tech who would confirm what we already knew. They'd
check the line and see lots of errors. They would then pass it along
to their engineering dept. and that's where it would end.
We had backup lines, and most of the time they didn't both experience
problems at the same time.
