[BC] Cop car antenna: Low band VHF?

Lo VHF.  TN Hwy Patrol still uses a bunch of 42mhz channels for their
mobiles.  They even had a few 42mhz walkie talkies several years ago.
They looked like regular Motorola portables with an extra long handle.
The officers hated them.
