I faced such a dilemma when relocating KHCS from Rancho Mirage to Palm
Springs. I borrowed a Miniflector for a couple of hours while I moved one
of our STL transmitters (dual mono) and the Mark transmit dish to the new
location. But, how to mount the Miniflector? After thinking it over, I put
it in a large cardboard box, set it on the roof (one-story building) and
shimmed it up with a couple of two-by-fours to get the polarity close. If
there had been any wind, I could have thrown a couple of rocks or bricks
into the box.

The receive dish should have been simple -- just swing the dish around.
Oh-oh -- the other tower leg is in the way. I pulled a 14-foot ratchet
tie-down strap out of the back of the car, secured it to the top of the dish
and to a crossmember about 10 feet higher. Unbolted the dish, swung it over
to the other the leg, and bolted it down. We had to be off the air for a
bit until the dish was aimed properly toward the new location, but it wasn't
too long.
