That's what is sad.  Just because they are "here to protect us" shouldn't
give them the right to jump to conclusions to the detriment of others.  The
worst part of your story is that he didn't even get any compensation for his
losses and lost his job.  If he had been ran into by someone on the highway
and ended up with injuries, insurance or possibly the person that hit him
could have been sued and he would have got something.  Instead the cops beat
the heck out of him and he looses his car and job along with injuries
without recourse just because they wear a badge.
