It should be interesting to see what happens to the Boyertown station
(now WFKB). It has programmed the "classic hits" format for three
years under an LMA to Nassau, but the license is still held by WDAC in
Lancaster. A sale to Nassau was supposed to consummate several months
ago, but the deal fell through. Meanwhile, WBYN in Lehighton is
still owned by Nassau.
When the format change initially took place, WFKB installed HD Radio
(at WDAC's expense) so that the Christian format of WBYN could be
carried on the multicast channel. However, digital coverage has been
disappointing. WBYN was also simulcast for a while on 1040 in
Flemington, NJ, but that signal now carries 1050 from New York.
