Bad move. You're using logic and assuming common courtesy comes into play.

I believe we're talking about national personalities. If you're 
several pay grades above them you making one Hell of a lot of money. 
In a few cases hundreds of millions. By not responding with lightning 
speed you're making the lives of dozens of innocent people nearby 
absolutely miserable. Do it for the troops who try their best to make 
non engineering stuff work as best they can. They're probably the few 
bodies left after a series of firing bloodbaths. That's probably why 
there's no engineer this person can get fired.

Whoa! Reality check! If it's a political host that's just the way 
they're used to speaking to people (on and off the air). That's why 
they're paid enormous amounts of money. They don't see you as a peer. 
Their peers are usually found on expensive, exclusive golf courses 
smoking obscenely expensive stogies, within heavily guarded gated 
communities that won't even admit equally obscenely paid creatures.
