The origional Dallas Fire Department Radio call letters were KVP,? later the Dallas Police Department Radio call was KVPA.?? All were AM.

The library (imcpl.org) has some old city maps with the station's callsign - a standard four-letter call indistinguishable from a commercial station; I forget the actual callsign, though. I noticed it while researching (hobby) the old streetcar and interurban lines...?
