Surely you jest!

You intend to modulate don't you? That's 1500 watts for 1kW

1500 / .6 = 2500 watts
1500 / .4 = 3750 watts

the difference is 1,200 watts!

The 2500 watt transmitter uses 24 * 2500 = 60 kW/hr every day
The 3750 watt transmitter uses 24 * 3750 = 90 kW/hr every day.

At 0.05 pet kW/hr we have 60 * 0.05 = $3.00 per day
At 0.05 per kW/hr we have 90 * 0.05 = $4.50 per day

For a nominal month, 30 days, we have:
 30 * 3 = $90 per month vs.
 30 * $4.50 = $135

... Just for electricity. This is a difference of $45 per month just
thrown away. Multiply that by 12 and you have a $145 difference.
In stead of throwing away the 145 every year, I'll be glad to take
it off your hands!
