 It's lossy.
 There's a greater danger from melting the dielectric than flash-over.

 I've run as much as 5400 watts through a short run of RG8, for a very
 short period of time. ( maybe 2 minutes )
 I'd *never* do it unattended, or without full knowledge of what
 might happen !
