i thought that too, but i called a friend of mine and he went on-line to  
look up the cable part number.
to my surprise it was 52 ohm cable. which at that point blew a theory i  
might of had.

 suggest this may be a possibility.
Then the line current would be = to  1000/ sqr72 ( 13.888a)=3.72A line 
current.
That would put the transmitter  in a bit better set of parameters.
